SiSa AiRR : shelter for pollinators
Teasel•Tecture Pollinator Chandeliers:
• observe and model the architecture of teasel cones, in various sizes, as potential nesting habitat for smaller solitary pollinators
• suspend within a greenhouse, or sheltered outdoor location
v1) use dried teasel cones collected from onsite
v2) 3D ceramic-print spiked cones (with ‘flower-bud’ openings) modeled from teasel cones (collected from onsite)
Teasel•Tecture with Hempcrete Condo Cladding:
• design and construct exterior insulation for AiRR Studio, incorporating pollinator habitat
• build upon the Teasel•Tecture 3D ceramic-print spiked-cone Pollinator Chandeliers to adapt for incorporation into exterior hempcrete insulation
• envision half-cones like sea urchins, barnacled to an exterior wall, with spikes facing outward, in a constellation of textural star patterns
• accommodate for Arbortecture Exterior Ecosystem (design around existing trees)
